Works a treat, easy to get started with the hand pump, easy flow adjustment, clips safely to the bucket. I have very fine gravel/sand and it had no trouble cleaning that without sucking up any of it. The size and efficiency of the vacuum made quick work of my 32L tank. Hassle-free, quick assembly, easy to use and clean with (literally, haha) no mucking around. Highly recommend =)

I have a 60L tropical aquarium with gravel, live plants and in hindsight overstocked with fish .. a newbie mistake for a newbie into this wonderful hobby. This product does the job as advertised. Cleans gravel while keeping your hands dry. The variable valve helps to control the suction/waterflow but I found it easier just to crimp the part of the hose to stop or start the flow. Anything above a 60L tank I would recommend you get the larger version to make your cleaning and water cycle more efficient and quicker. Quality materials used in the product and its functionality is great, all parts needed to clean your tank are included, the handy bucket clip for the water 'out' end of the house is a great idea - well done Fluval. There is also a small 'filter' at the top of the main pipe which will stop you accidentally sucking up small fish or gravel and having it jammed in the down pipe - its removable for cleaning which is another reason why Fluval is an aquarium keeper's manufacturer - they think about how their product will be used in the real world and not just adopt a 'If you build it, they will come' mentality. I also bought the Fluval 107 canister filter at the same time as the gravel filter, check out my review. Finally, thumbs up to Aquarium Spare Parts.
